There is always a possibility of someone watching (2020)
Digital photography
This project is a series of group photos through a systematic process of monitoring and recording people, people who are in a financial process in front of an ATM across the street. The photo shooting focuses on the body posture, a posture of stasis, repeated by everyone as a public performance. The overall depiction through the repetition of the same frame forms an ideological landscape, a public meeting point (and at the same time strictly private) as it shaped by the constant flow of human presence, and it creates a space where moments of pause alternate. The process takes place at a specific time of the day In order to incorporating the value of lighting, thus giving a theatrical dimension to a daily practice of transaction and turning the moment into a repeated theatrical action. This systematic monitoring is a conversation between private and public and explores issues of the process and the aesthetics of monitoring the public space through the limitation of private space. At the end, there is always a possibility of someone watching.
